A 49-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle that fled the scene in North York early Sunday morning. The Toronto police were notified of the collision at around 1:37 a.m. on Sunday.
It has been reported that the pedestrian was in the curb lane of Victoria Park Avenue, about 150 meters north of McNicoll Avenue, when he was struck by a vehicle heading south. According to police, the driver failed to remain at the scene.
